The cloud sitters

A massive red sprite complex with secondary troll jets beneath. A fast, mysterious, and beautiful event in the atmosphere over Oklahoma, right as a storm system hit the Oklahoma City metro area.

 This rural, dark sky landscape provided the perfect foreground for the magic in the sky behind. A poignant reminder that even the strongest storms can provide beauty to the world.

To me, this group almost looked like a gathering of figures, looking down at our earth in the dead of night. Truly spectacular nature
