Orange Aurora arch in Oklahoma

This night in 2025 was truly an aurora bonanza in Oklahoma.

Right as I got to my spot, it became apparent that the aurora was going to kick off as strong pillars started to form very visibly to the naked eye.

These intensely saturated colors are not from overprocessing; this was only a 2-second shot, but the aurora was just this intense. As red and green colors merge, rare orange aurora filled the horizon- sometimes referred to as golden aurora.
